The first Little Fin blend to hit the website is the aptly named 'Black Gold'. A combination of the hard hitting Columbian Laguna and the subtle smoothness of a Guatemalan bean gives this a beautiful well balanced flavour. Again we feel this is best for espresso when roasted closer to a medium roast than a dark. This is an absolute favourite and would be our roasters choice for Espresso coffee. Weight: 200g, 500g, 1KG Origin: Columbia Laguna, Guatemala SHB Washed: Yes Tasting Notes: Blueberry and chocolate

    Black gold indeed

Had to wait until our old beans ran out before we could try this. Was this worth the wait! Yes yes yes. Medium strength with no bitterness. We drink it with frothed milk (don’t judge) so this would affect the strength but we love it. We have a new bean to cup coffee maker and have been looking for the perfect coffee bean. We’ve found it.

Thank you Sue, I'm glad you found us, will try and not keep Mr LH chatting too long about dogs when I next deliver!

    Black Gold Espresso beans

Finbari was my favourite coffee from Little Fin Roastery but when that became unavailable Black Gold blend is a consistent happy second choice, it's uplifting flavour gives a real aaahhhh moment after the first sip :-)

Thank you Bernie, I will be looking at trying to bring back the original Finbari, or as close as I can get to it! Watch this space :-) I'm glad you are enjoying this coffee :-) Little Fin

Sorry to say it, but a bit disappointing.

Not the “kick” or strength I would expect from an Espresso. Slight metallic aftertaste.

Good morning Laurence. I’m sorry you didn’t get the best out of this amazing coffee. As you can see, 20 people before you gave it a 5 star rating and it’s also our most popular wholesale coffee, enjoyed by hundreds of people every day. Perhaps you could have messaged us if you thought something was wrong?

There are a number of reasons why your coffee may taste metallic which include hard water, too finer grind, preparation, extraction amongst others. I’m happy to discuss and improve your experience. Drop us a message.
