Coffee Cupping Experience
Join our talented team at our Leigh on Sea Coffee House in a special after hours event where we will put on a professional coffee tasting experience for you!
You'll be guided through different coffee origins and the flavour characteristics they bring to the cup. You will then go through how to professionally assess the quality and flavours of various coffees from different processing methods or regions. This is done by a process known as 'cupping' where we analyse the smell and taste of the coffee by giving it a good old slurp off a spoon!
In the session starting at 6pm we will cover:
- Processing methods used to produce coffee beans
- Different typical origin characteristics
- Some of the terms we use to describe coffee
- Tools we use in a traditional cupping and those we use to help us describe flavour
- Tasting up to four different coffees
- A group discussion where we can talk over our findings (with a coffee of your choice on us of course).
At the end of our session we will send you on your way with a 200g bag containing one of our coffees you have tasted from our session so you have something to remember the occasion!
Sessions will last 1-2hrs depending on group size.
